We are fortunate to have them as an addition to our organization. This LINK will take you where you can read the bios of our new members as well as all of our board members. LOVELAND’S 150th ANNIVERSARY and AMERICA’S 250th ANNIVERSARY - 4TH OF JULY PARADE The Loveland Schools Foundation participated in the City of Loveland’s 4th of July parade. The theme was to represent a decade from American History. We chose the 80’s as our decade using the Rocky IV movie’s music “Living in America”. Our Tiger mascot entered the boxing ring, gloves up, ready to celebrate Loveland and America! It was a great time for all!

STAFF GRANT TIME IS HERE! The start of the school year is upon us and one of our favorite events is offering grants to our district staff. Last year we were able to award over $15,200 to 44 staff members. Grant funds are used to provide that “something extra” a staff member feels would enhance the educational experience, be it a field trip, reading nooks, alternative seating, etc. Our goal is to continue to support these innovative ideas. This year we will again be offering $500 grants to LCSD staff. Applications are online and need to be submitted by the end of school day Friday, September 25th. Trustees will review each proposal. Final funding decisions will be made and recipients notified the week of October 16th. If you would like to donate specifically to staff grants, please use this link.

DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI, DISTINGUISHED FACULTY AND THE NEW RISING TIGER AWARD! Nominations are now being accepted for our 2027 Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Faculty. We have also established a new award, the Rising Tiger Award. The Distinguished Alumni Award is for outstanding graduates who excel in their careers and leave a lasting, positive footprint on the world. This is a lifetime achievement award. The Distinguished Faculty Award honors those exceptional educators who have committed their careers, often in their entirety, to shaping the minds of Loveland’s youth. During our last campaign, the Loveland Schools Foundation came to the realization there are many graduates who are already making a difference and deserve to be recognized with our new Rising Tiger Award. This award is for those graduates who are still in the early-to-mid stages of their journeys and have already demonstrated outstanding professional momentum and a commitment to giving back. All nominations must be submitted by November 1, 2026 and the award announcement on December 2, 2026. A cocktail reception will be held in March 2027. Use this LINK to access the nomination forms.

ONCE A TIGER, ALWAYS A TIGER - GET CONNECTED! The Alumni Engagement Committee is looking for a few team leaders from each graduating class that are interested in helping us connect with classmates and sharing the mission of The Loveland Schools Foundation. We are not asking you to fundraise rather to be a liaison for your graduating class. Thank you for considering and we will be in touch. We also encourage any alumni to visit the website link here to provide your contact information. If you should have any questions, please contact Judy Leamy at Judy23leamy@gmail.com.

EMPLOYER SPONSORED GRANTS Does your company or employer offer grants to non-profit organizations? If YES, we have a great non-profit organization right here! The Loveland Schools Foundation is always looking for different ways to raise funds for our programs and projects. Jennifer Shaftel, one of our board members, is experienced in grant writing and would love the opportunity to apply for a grant through your employer. She recently obtained a $5000 grant from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation! This was used to purchase 30 graphing calculators, and several Spanish to English and German to English translation materials for Loveland High School. Jennifer can be contacted at jennifer.shaftel@gmail.com.
